Every month I share a bit of what has caught my eye. It’s usually a mix of all the things! Design trends I’m loving, new skincare products I’m testing out, additions to my wardrobe, or recipes I’ve tried. It’s safe to say these are faves that I would probably talk your ear off about if we were sitting down in real life to catch up over a glass of something bubbly and maybe a brownie or two!

MARCH 2021 FAVORITES
Beauty + Apparel
- Happy spring, friends! I can’t believe the colder months of winter are almost behind us and warmer weather is on its way in! And with the change in weather comes a change to my skincare. In January I shared Primally Pure’s Baby Balm which was my winter staple and saved my dry, irritated, and itchy skin. Now that the weather is warming up, I need something a little different. I wanted something that would still be super hydrating and moisturizing for my skin but without the greasy feeling that can come from using oils or balms. I’ve been wanting to try the Squalane + Omega Repair Cream by Biossance and decided now was the time. So far so good. I use it both day and night and it soaks right into my skin. There’s no greasy feel and my skin doesn’t feel dry or tight. The only thing I’m not loving is the smell. It’s not horrible but it’s not great. It’s pretty noticeable at first but once it’s rubbed in it disappears. I prefer things without a ton of fragrance and usually like the more earthy and medicinal smelling skincare products but this is, well let’s say it’s unique.
- Did you hear? According to Gen Z, skinny jeans are out and I officially feel old. And, while I still love a good pair of skinny jeans, I have to admit, I’m excited for a loser, roomier cut. For me, it’s not about what’s trending but more about what feels better to slip into after being cooped up for a year, home, in nothing but sweats, with the latest baked confectionery. I recently scooped up a pair of low-rise light wash girlfriend jeans from Banana Republic Factory. I love the looser fit and the washed colorway. They are super flattering and super comfy. I’m not sure I can get behind some of the other trending styles but these I’m into.
Home decor + Design
- If you’ve been following my stories on Instagram, then you know we have quite a few home projects we are thinking about tackling. One of them being our downstairs half bath. I’m currently in the planning/design stage and have been looking for inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram. I’m drawn to this beautiful, traditional feeling bath and its stunning color pallet. I’ve always loved the look of a console vanity and this bath executed the look flawlessly. Another beautiful example can be seen in this bathroom done for a previous One Room Challenge. Console sinks can be pretty pricey though but Cass from Cass Makes Home DIYed one and shared all her tips and tricks for getting the look for less.
- I’m really digging clear glass pieces for spring this year. The glass feels fresh and modern and brings lightness and airiness to my decor when mixed in with my regular accessories. I’ve been on the hunt for a few pieces like candlesticks, vases for flowers, and other display pieces. These glass candlesticks from Pottery Barn are sleek and modern-looking and currently on sale. I love the reeded look of these clear glass Pottery Barn vases and this fluted clear CB2 vase. Both super trendy but also very classic.
