Halloween is here but I’m already thinking about my Christmas Holiday decor this year. It’s not like me to want to rush past Halloween but something about this year has me craving the warmth and festivities that come with this season.
So, I’ve started doing a little shopping for a few new holiday decor pieces. Some are in my cart waiting for me to pull the trigger. Some have arrived or are arriving this weekend. I can’t wait to share with you what I grabbed this year to help make our home extra cozy, warm, and inviting!
This sweet little round cream and burgundy partridge pillow is super sweet. I think it would be so pretty mixed in with other pillows this holiday season.
Every once in a while I come across a printed word pillow that catches my eye. This “Merry” print cushion cover would be the perfect modern touch in a home with vintage and thrifted holiday decor.
This red striped ruffle-trimmed pillow cover is so whimsical and fun. A perfect touch for the holiday season that could also work during other times of the year as well.
I scooped up one of each of these scalloped rattan Christmas trees earlier this week. HomeGoods had some larger versions that I thought were cute but wasn’t sure where I could put them. I love the size and scale of these ones though and think they will be cute tucked into our bookcases.
A tablecloth is a quick and easy way to add a dose of holiday cheer in the dining room. I really love this geometric cotton Christmas tablecloth and think it’s super unique and different from others I’ve been seeing. The colors would be perfect for the entire fall and winter season.
Ribbon is something I pickup each and every holiday season. I use it to add to my greenery or to make gifts feel extra special. This Brown Velvet Ribbon would work all year round. Not just at the holidays.

For Halloween this year I kept it simple by sticking to one theme. for my decor. It seems like my theme for Christmas this year is trees. There are so many pretty and inexpensive paper trees out there like this Large Red Paper Tree Decoration. It would be the perfect pop of holiday red on a shelf.
Displaying a set of 3 Honeycomb Paper Olive Green Trees on a coffee table or in the middle of the dining room table is another easy way to bring in holiday vibes without a ton of work or money.
This week I also ordered this 46″ Olive and Pine Christmas Swag from Target and it should arrive in a few days. I usually hang a wreath from our kitchen window above the sink and thought I’d change it up this year with this swag. It should be the perfect size to fit in the space we have.
I’m on the hunt for some cozy new blankets to curl up with on our second hand sofa once it’s reupholstered. This faux fur throw blanket in the color Linen looks extra soft and warm and will work with any of the decor in our home
I’ve been eyeing this brown ceramic wavy edge serving platter every time I see it at Target. I think that means I need to grab one for the holiday season for cookies or serving up sides.
Our every day dishes are white and very simple. Around the holidays I love to find pretty side plates to layer on top. I shared a platter in the green color way in my Autumn Color Story post. The brown floral earthenware dessert plates are are very pretty and would work for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Win, Win!
Polished silver has been catching my eye lately. While I love the warmth of brass, these 6″ Daphne Candle Holder finished in polished nickel add a little something extra to the table this holiday season.

The other blanket that caught my eye was this ultra soft luxury faux rabbit fur green throw blanket. We’re reupholstering a second hand loveseat we found this summer. The pattern is a mustard and green floral and this throw would be gorgeous draped over it.
A couple of years ago I ordered some velvet ribbon in the color way caramel. This year, I want to grab some of this 1.5″ wired suede velvet ribbon in the color Old Gold to use in some of our greenery. I like that it has the wire and will make it easy create large bows.
I’ve had my eye on a burgundy velvet tree skirt from LuLu and Georgia for a couple of years now. It’s either been out of stock or I miss it when it goes on sale. This year I found this red velvet ruffled tree skirt that is very similar and under $100. I think I’m going to snag this one instead.
